“If it wasn’t for you, there is no way that I would have been able to do all of this and feel so secure about my decision. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your kindness and understanding. ”
— Adoption Choices Client
- If you are unsure about your decision to place your baby for adoption, you can have several free counseling sessions with a Marriage and Family Therapist to discuss your options.
- We do not require birth mothers to go to counseling.
- After you have decided on adoption, ongoing counseling is available to you as you move through the process of selecting a family, deciding on level of ongoing contact desired (if any), and the birthing, placement and post placement adjustment.
WE ADVOCATE FOR YOU
- Whenever possible, we are there to advocate for you in stressful settings such as: the first doctor visit, divulging the pregnancy to a birth father, or at the hospital birth.
TALK WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN THERE
Sometimes it is helpful to just talk with someone who personally understands adoption. We work with many birth mothers. We'll happily put you in touch with women who have been through adoption.
