Support Services For Birth Parents

Call us at Adoption Choices for information, support and counseling services. If you are unsure about your decision to place your baby for adoption, you can have several free counseling sessions with a Marriage and Family Therapist to discuss your options. We do not require birthmothers to go to counseling.

After you have decided on adoption, ongoing counseling is available to you as you move through the process of selecting a family, deciding on level of ongoing contact desired (if any), and the birthing, placement and post placement adjustment.

Whenever possible, we are there to advocate for you in stressful settings such as: the first doctor visit, divulging the pregnancy to a birthfather, or at the hospital birth.

We have had experience in working with many birthmothers and can put you in touch with women who have been through adoption. Sometimes it is helpful to just talk with someone who personally understands adoption.
