A: The average time in our program is 10 months and most families adopt in the first year.
Q: How long does the birthmom have to change her mind?
A: In the state of California, approximately 30 days. If she chooses to sign a waiver it will be less.
Q: How old are most birthmothers?
A: The average age is 23 years old.
Q: How often does the birthmother decide to take the baby back?
A: In our experience, less than 5% of the time.
Q: How much contact do most birthparents want?
A: 80% of our birthmoms want to have some degree of contact initially, usually including pictures and sometimes annual visits.
Q: How much does it cost to adopt?
A: Fees will vary upon the program you go to and other factors such as international adoption vs. domestic, etc. The cost of our program is based on a sliding scale.
Q: When should I hire at attorney?
A: You do not need to hire an attorney until you have a birthmother you are working with.
